The Tablas Collection

“Peoples’ Choice” award at Las Vegas Market 2021

Tablas is inspired by classic rattan and wicker furniture and uses the natural material to create a warm, modern light fixture. Each shade is handmade in the Philippines and all the individual wraps and bindings are highlighted, showcasing the master craftsmanship of the maker.

The sample came back with visible glue and nail holes. While I wanted to celebrate the craftmanship of shaping rattan, the shades needed something to make it look more refined and clean, yet still intentional. The addition of extra bindings in these areas achieved this.

Time to expand the family! In total, this collection has a flush mount, one pendant, and an island light.
