Tea Set
Showcased at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art 2018
This award winning design concept consists of a teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, and tray, and the main focus was to create a design family.
The ideation phase started with creating a mood board of images with beautiful, curved forms, both inspired from nature and architecture, to guide me through sketching different forms of the teapot. Once the teapot form was established, I applied the same form language to the creamer pitcher, sugar bowl, and tray. Then it was into CAD and Keyshot! The focus was to create a cohesive family of products rather than the ease of manufacturing.
This design was chosen by the industrial design professors to represent the department. A full 3D printed set was printed and displayed at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art as part of Showcase: A Work of Creative Scholarship exhibition.
