Triangulo Collection
Fall 2022 Release
This modern, boho, crystal collection is made up of custom triangle crystal holders that connect together into a petal-like crystal curtain. During ideation, I explored new ways to connect crystals together and liked how geometric, yet floral the pattern was when each triangular unit was pinned together. I learned a lot about cast brass parts in manufacturing, as well as introduced True Brass finish - the first non-plated finish that highlights the beauty of real brass material - into the Allegri Crystal line.
Development of the cast brass triangle piece was very important. I went back and forth with the factory revising the clay model and crystal clips to find the right balance of crystal and brass. I did not want the crystal to be overshadowed by the heavy brass material.
Finishing: I worked with the factory, my boss, and the president of the company to develop this new finish - the most important part was highlighting the natural beauty and warmth of the brass material and not covering it up with a plated finish. All the metal parts were changed to brass, which then went through rounds of polishing and chemical baths until it reached the final result.
The Triangulo Collection consists of 3 pendants and an island light.
